Babee Covee 6 in 1 Baby Blanket {Review & Coupon Code!}

Today I have a fun review to share.  This is a baby blanket that I've fallen in love with.  It's such a fun and super useful blanket.

The Babee Covee is a blanket that is designed to be used for 6+ things in just 1 blanket, cutting down the amount you have to bring when packing for your baby. All mothers know how much there can be to pack when you have little ones to care for.  There's so many things to try to keep from forgetting, even when just running a small errand.

This blanket is to be used as a car seat, stroller, high chair, shopping cart, nursing cover, and playtime blanket.

My favorite uses for this blanket are the car seat cover, stroller and playtime blanket.  I find the blanket too small for my liking as a nursing cover.  We don't go out to eat very often and then I hold my baby most of the times when we are out, so I haven't used it many times for a high chair cover.
The Babee CoveeTM has become a baby gear must have. This luxury 6-in-1 multi-use, baby blanket and cover eliminates bulk, saves money and makes traveling a snap with baby while creating a clean, germ-free area wherever you go! Its six uses are: 1) car seat "tent" cover 2) nursing cover 3) shopping cart cover 4) high chair cover 5) stroller blanket and 6) playtime blanket.
This blanket is made from really soft fabrics and satin edges.  I love how soft it is and all babies I have known love satin edged blankets. :) I have the green and brown Babee Covee, now they have it in 8 additional colors.
You can visit Babee Covee more on:

If you are interested in getting your own Babee Covee you can get $5.00 off your order with coupon code: 5Babee.  Also they have monthly giveaways on their Facebook page. :)

Captive Trail :: Book Review

About the Book:
The Captive Trail is second in a six-book series about four generations of the Morgan family living, fighting, and thriving amidst a turbulent Texas history spanning from 1845 to 1896.  Although a series, each book can be read on its own.
Taabe Waipu has run away from her Comanche village and is fleeing south in Texas on a horse she stole from a dowry left outside her family's teepee.  The horse has an accident and she is left on foot, injured and exhausted.  She staggers onto a road near Fort Chadbourne and collapses.
On one of the first runs through Texas, Butterfield Overland Mail Company driver Ned Bright carries two Ursuline nuns returning to their mission station.  They come across a woman who is nearly dead from exposure and dehydration and take her to the mission.
With some detective work, Ned discovers Taabe Waipu identity.  He plans to unite her with her family, but the Comanche have other ideas, and the two end up defending the mission station.  Through Taabe and Ned we learn the true meaning of healing and restoration amid seemingly powerless situations.

My Review:
I read this book out of order as well as the last one I reviewed. :(  You can read my review of book #3 for this series here.  I can't wait to read the 1st book in this series and all the other ones.

Captive Trail is about a young girl, Tabbe who was captured by Indians (the Comanche's).  When she got older she was going to be forced to marry one of their leaders, a man who enjoyed raiding and stealing. When the time grew near and she had an opportunity she stole the fastest horse and escaped.

During Taabe's escape her horse stumbled and threw her off injuring her quite a bit making it hard for her to travel at all.  Some of the men in the near town found her laying almost unconscious on the road and brought her to the Sister's house for care.  They were able to clean her up and treat her wounds but since she was captured so young she had forgotten her family and their language, so it seemed impossible for them to find out who her family was.

Ned, one of the men who found her, was determined to find her family and bring her back to them.  Finally through Taabe learning how to communicate while under the Sister's care she was able to remember a few things and Ned was able to find her family.  When he was going to bring the good news to her he finds the Sister's house under attack by the Comanches (trying to get Taabe back).  Between the Sisters, Taabe, and the men with Ned they were able to defeat the Comanches and he was able to bring Taabe home to her family.  The story ends with a visit from Ned to Taabe (her real name was Billie).

This book was a fantastic read and I'm keeping it to read again! :) I love historical fiction and this one was no exception.  The author did a really great job at capturing you into the book, it was so hard to put down.  I'm pretty sure I read it in just a day or two. :)

I see that this book can be ordered on Amazon for as little as $0.99 for a Kindle Edition. :)

Easy Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

With Fall here and Thanksgiving just under a week away these Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins are just in time!  This recipe is really easy and freezes well.  I often make these and then put them in the freezer, they only take about 20 minutes to defrost to enjoy for a quick snack or breakfast.

Easy Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins
Makes: 24 muffins

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

3/4 cup sugar (preferably whole sugar)

1/2 cup coconut oil (or your favorite cooking oil), melted

4 eggs

2/3 cup milk (preferably whole)

3 cups organic unbleached all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons aluminum free baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (optional)

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1 cup chocolate chips

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line muffin pans with paper liners.
  • Beat sugar, oil and eggs together. Whisk in milk and pumpkin.
  • In separate bowl mix together remaining ingredients. Add to pumpkin mixture and stir just until combined (should be lumpy).
  • Divide batter between the muffin cups and bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into middle of muffin comes out clean.

*If you order by clicking on any of my links and have never ordered from Tropical Traditions in the past, you will receive a free book on Virgin Coconut Oil, and I will receive a discount coupon for referring you.

The ABC's of Freezer Cooking ~ eBook Review & Giveaway

Have you tried freezer cooking before?  If not, I would highly recommend this eBook!

In a way I think freezer cooking is for everyone, it might not be for you today, but maybe during the holidays, after having a baby or some other busy time in your life, I think freezer cooking would be a life saver to many!

This easy to read quick ebook is filled with everything you will need to start freezer cooking. You will find recipes, tips, tricks, and encouragement in this eBook.

I'm getting ready to stock my freezer up with dinners soon, I'm tired of dinner always being a lot of work and having to clean up so much in the evenings.  I did a lot of freezer cooking when I was pregnant and it was a HUGE help!  I never felt like cooking and then having something easy to pull out of the freezer helped us have a good healthy meal every evening.  We ate lots of burritos, & soups. :)

Want to try freezer cooking?  We are giving away 5 copies of this eBook today to get you started!  Enter to win one of the 5 copies in the rafflecopter form below.

Also - KM Logan's blog (Lessons From Ivy) has been quite the encouragement to me.  Be sure to go read some of her posts. :)
