Baby Babu One Size Pocket Diaper Review & Giveaway! {Ends 7/3/12}

Baby Babu is a rather new cloth diaper company, and they have some neat products!  When I first contacted them they mainly had only One Size Pocket diapers.  Now they have grown and carry All In Ones, Biodegradable diapers, Pins, Covers, Flats, & Wet Bags.
About Baby Babu:
Founded in Melbourne, Florida, by the parents of twin boys, Baby Babu’s goals are to provide high quality, sustainable and affordable diapering solutions and related products to parents worldwide. In addition to our core goals, Baby Babu will strive to provide the highest degree of customer service and the highest quality products available.

I was sent the One Size Juicy (Orange) cloth diaper like the above picture.  It fits my 22 month old really well and probably will fit him until he is potty trained.  For him I have to snap it up on the 2nd rise in the front and then one snap from the tightest around the waist.  He's a pretty big boy and he'll have plenty more room to grow with this diaper.  I have to add a second insert into this diaper for nighttime or when I won't be able to change his diaper as often.  The diaper doesn't fit my 2 month old very well. In my opinion it is a bit bulky, still works but not as trim as I prefer.  He's on all the tightest settings.  One insert seems to be good for him.

I like the double openings to insert the inserts into.  They come out easily during washing and then you don't have to pull out a soaked insert.  The double gussets seem to really help keep everything inside which is always a good thing!

I would change a few things - 4 snaps instead of 3 would be nicer on the tab, it helps a bunch for keeping the diaper securely on with a better fit.  Active toddlers have a thing about leaving diapers alone).  Overlapping tabs would be great too for smaller babies.  I prefer to keep natural fabrics (cotton instead of fleece, etc) against my baby's skin, so I would change the inner material.  I know that it is purposely made from a micro fleece designed to keep baby dry. I'm fine with the inserts being made of ultra absorbent micro fleece and bamboo fibers as they never come in contact with the baby.  I do dislike the way they feel against the (rough) skin on your hands but they are otherwise super soft.

About the Baby Babu One Size Diaper:
This little juicy orange cloth pocket diaper comes with one 3 layer super absorbable insert, waterproof PUL cover, adjustable snaps for sizing from 8-35+ pounds, double gussets and two pocket openings.
Our pocket cloth diapers all come with TWO openings to stuff the inner pocket. Why two openings you may wonder? Two openings allow for the insert to simply self agitate out in the washing machine, preventing mommy or daddy from having to reach in and pull out a yucky, soiled insert. With Baby Babu pocket diapers, just dispose of any #2 in the toilet, toss in the washing machine and that’s it! We’ve eliminated the need for any additional dirty work. Plus, with our adjustable snap button system, you now have a diaper for life! The button system allows for sizing from 8-35+ pounds, so you’ll never have to search for new diapers to fit your growing cutie. Each diaper wing has 3 button snaps to ensure a secure, but comfortable fit (most competitors have only 2 snaps on their diapers). But wait, there’s more! We’ve incorporated an extra gusset inside of the outer leg gusset to help prevent leakage for those little guys and girls that have a tendency towards the dreaded blow-outs or flood style pee pee incidents (moms and dads love this). Finally, each pocket diaper comes with one 3 layer super absorbable insert and super soft, moisture wicking liner.
Baby Babu is giving away 1 of their pocket diapers in your choice of (available) color.  To enter this giveaway use the Rafflecopter form below.  If you have trouble or questions entering through the form let me know.

The Matthew 6:33 Life ~ Guest Post

Today I have a guest post from KM Logan from Lessons From Ivy.  She has a lovely site and I've been blessed by the things she shares.  After you read this post go on over to her site and get to know her better.  I know you'll be blessed!
-----------------

Prioritizing life can sometimes be difficult.

“How clean should I make sure my house is?”

“How much time should I spend working from home to earn extra income?”

“Do I need to get a part time job, or am I just chasing after a lifestyle?”

“Am I spending enough time with my husband and family?”

“Am I volunteering enough at church?”

“Am I volunteering too much at church?”

The fact of the matter is that the answer to these questions is different for every single one of us.  Some women need to take on a part time job or work from home, while others don’t need the extra income they just want it (this isn’t necessarily wrong).

Some women will have plenty of time during their day to spit shine their entire house, while another woman who has small or special needs children will barely have time to get dressed every day.

Every priority in our life however needs to come back to one question:

“Is what I’m doing helping the Kingdom of God?”

Having a spotless house but neglecting the teaching of God’s Word to our Children affects God’s Kingdom in a negative way, while pouring God’s love into their precious hearts and having streaky windows affects God’s Kingdom positively.

By no means am I saying that women with clean houses aren’t teaching their children’s God’s truth, or that you can’t have both, I’m just giving an example.

I can have what the world would consider success but if my children don’t feel loved by me, I’m not seeking God’s Kingdom I’m seeking my own desires.

Life is about balance and priorities.  We all have different needs and callings, but we should always seek God’s Kingdom first and everything will fall into place.

" But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33
