Hi! As you see I'm pretty new at this blogging...so if any of you feel like leaving a comment with any suggestions they would be REALLY appreciated. I know I'm going to enjoy meeting bloggers and making friends, and you just might be able to help me!? Do you have any tips? Anything that worked for you? Things you'd like to hear from me? What would interest you and bring you back to my little nook on the web?
Thank you!
"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:29
Hello! I began blogging last year and at first, wondered what to say...I just started speaking from the heart..like a good conversation (and I tend to be chatty)..I have met some wonderful ladies through blogging and I enjoy reading about their lives...getting great recipes and such. ♥

Hi Tabitha!
ReplyDeleteI think what draws me toward certain blogs is the people behind them. I have always been interested in people, and I love to see what is going on in their lives. I love to hear how another mother orders her home, what sewing projects she is working on, or what she is doing for school.
The main thing that attracts me is photography. I'm a very visual person, so photographs with each post are a big plus! If you prefer to remain a bit more anonymous (not showing pictures of faces or identifying details), you can still have a warm and personal feeling to your blog through creative photography (show hands, backs of heads, a nicely set table, baby feet, a person looking down so their face can't be seen, etc.). You don't have to have anyone's face in the picture for it to be creative and beautiful.
Here is an example of a more anonymous blog (she shows her own face but not the faces of her children) that I really like. Cara will often show her children's profile or the back of their head, but not their faces.

I also know of another blog where no one's face is ever shown, and yet you feel like you know the writer because she shows you things in her home, meals she's made, art projects her children are working on (just the children's hands or the backs of their heads).
Anyway, that's just me. I love photography! :)
I'm also always looking for real food recipes (Nourishing Traditions-type), so if you have any of those to share, I'd love to see them!
Just some thoughts. I hope your weekend is blessed!

Following you back. It took me a few months to get into blogging but I noticed the more you do it the easier it gets. Good luck!
