Nutz4Soap - Review & Giveaway - 2 Winners!

I always have used Natural Laundry Detergent.  Something about the scents and the chemicals left in my clothes always bothered me about the "Regular" Detergents.  I was so excited to try the Soap Nuts from Nutz4Soap.com - I had never heard of using "nuts" for soap.  That sounded so different yet perfect in the same way!
I tried these soap nuts on everything - everyday clothes, cloth diapers, towels, etc. and they worked great!  The laundry always came out clean - no added scent or anything too!

These soap nuts come in a little white bag (like the picture) and also include an other smaller bag to put the nuts in before putting in the washer.  For regular loads you use 4 (or pieces equivalent to 4 whole nuts) in the bag and you can reuse those same nuts 4-6 times, until they turn gray & loose their lemony-vinegar smell.  The best part is that you can use these in HE washers.  If you prefer your laundry soap as a liquid they have directions here!

Soap Nuts are great - they are:

An Organic Laundry Detergent
A Great All-Purpose Cleaner
Inexpensive
Eco-friendly
Easy to Use
Great for Sensitive Skin

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

I made these just the other day and they turned out really good.  Soft and chewy - peanut buttery and chocolaty. : )

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tablespoons brown rice syrup
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the corn syrup, water, and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the peanut butter mixture. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread cookie dough evenly in a 9x13" baking dish.  (For cookie variation - Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.)
3. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned and when no longer gooey in the middle.  Cool before cutting.  (For cookie variation - Bake for 12 to 14 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are golden. Allow cookies to cool for 1 minute on the cookie sheet before removing to wire racks to cool completely.)

Enjoy! - Let me know if you try them & if you like them! :)
